Excessive heat shutdown protocol amended for the Rossmoor outdoor pools The outdoors pools at Dollar and Hillside will remain open on days of excessive heat, in a modification of some of the guidelines that were implemented during the early July heat wave. During the first part of July, all GRF-managed pools shut down for portions of several afternoons when temperatures reached 102 degrees.
