When Mark and Marilyn Weiss read in a Facebook post on a recent Friday that Monument Crisis Center in Concord was seeing three times as many people as normal at their emergency food giveaways, they swung into action. In fact, by the following Monday, the couple unloaded a car full of food at the center, and handed over a check for $3,000 – all donated by Rossmoor residents and friends.
